What is DFWI?
The DEPOWA Families Wellness Initiative is DEPOWA's family-wellness platform for Nigeria's military and police community. It provides safe, accessible and dignified pathways to mental-wellness, psychosocial, physical-wellness and family-resilience support.
Is this website an emergency service?
No. The website and general support line are not emergency-response services. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or your command straight away.
Who is DFWI for?
Serving and retired military and police personnel, spouses, children, widows and other eligible family members. Eligibility for each service will be published once confirmed.
Where are the Wellness Centres?
The pilot Centre in Kaduna is at 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna. A second pilot Centre is proposed in Abuja. See Wellness Centres for the current status of each.
